Outside, Within 1

This is the first in a series of three paintings. The theme “Outside, Within” relates to man as a spectator in this world, both as a part of it and apart from it. The wilderness in which one may find oneself is both formidable and inviting, and as a reluctant participant, one has little choice but to move forth in the spirit of discovery and faith and to uncover the beauty of the moment.
