Drawing inspiration from my husband’s two aunts trekking through the sun-drenched trails of California, I aimed to capture the essence of their outdoor adventure in bright and vivid brushstrokes.

This piece was created during lockdown, coinciding with the year of my sister’s wedding in America, as I observed the joyous occasion from across the globe. That year I gained a newfound appreciation for the Impressionist movement that had eluded me during my earlier years as an artist. Simultaneously, I found myself cherishing my family more profoundly than ever before, resulting in this painting capturing the essence of a radiant day spent in the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. A joyous recollection woven from cherished past moments and the promise of inspiring ones yet to come.

Safeguarding the Light (Set of two)

These paintings delve into the concept of “Spirit and Form,” illustrating the harmonious union between body and soul, and the radiant inner light inherent in each individual, deserving of preservation.
It emphasizes the delicate equilibrium between these elements, akin to a graceful dance requiring precision and elegance. Additionally drawing inspiration from the Judaic belief of the higher soul hovering above the individual’s head, evident in the halo-like effect depicted in the second painting.
